Art Students Work on Kites

This week in my Art class we have flown kites, researched kites and started creating our own kites. My students have spent 3 days on the internet researching the history of kites. They have also researched how a kite flies. The students have found useful information on the different types of kites, the design of kites, as well as, the science and math behind creating and flying a kite. Students have begun to create their own mathematical kite design and are looking forward to working on the artistic aspect of their designs. Hope this project turns out well and that we have many flying kites on May 21st.
